can anybody help me out please ive got a pleco at the moment but he has outgrown my tank and i would like to replace him with something that wont outgrow my 100L tank within a couple of months , that is a bottom feeder or algae eater p.s the pleco is going to be rehomed tomorrow .

Guessing the guy you have/had is a common pleco, that is one in about 450 species of pleco but the common one is just huge and often mis sold to people with tanks that cant handle them.

In a 100 liter tank you have quite a few options, smaller species of plec like pitbull plec, or bulldog plec would work really well any of the chaetestoma species would. You could also consider the whiptail catfish as they stay smaller and skinnier as well.

You could get a few Corys they're bottom feeders or maybe some sort of loaches?

I've got veiltail bristlenoses in my 125,both standard brown and albino which I couldn't recommend enough.They're not shy at all and very graceful looking,for plecs lol!!(Don't get more than 4/5" including fins and are very kind to planted tanks.
