my in laws are moving from Barnehurst in kent to Cliftonville on the coast in kent , they have a beautiful 5ft tank and are unable to look after the fish whilst they are gutting and re-modernising the house

they live in RO water and consist of discus, bristle nose catfish sterbye catfish, loaches, guoramis, black widow tetra black phantom tetra silver foxes and hatchet fish

they are looking for someone with a big tank to either look after them (for which they will pay ) to come and collect them OR if this is not possible for someone to come and take them, they would like a good home for them ....................please can anyone help.

Why don't they sell the whole setup? I'm sure someone would be very interested in them.

he built the tank and it is beautiful but the whole this is worth about £3000 and i dont think anyone will pay that , they are happy to take the tank but do not want to stress out the fish living in a building site , ideally they eould like someone with a big tank to come and take them and look after them but being realistic the next best option is reliable people to give them a good home .

they only have till next tues/weds to try and do something about it

I've done some serious construction around fish, dust & noise associated with tearing rooms down to studs & so on. I've also built some large racks in a fully stocked and rather cramped fishroom, the fish get along fine.

thanks for that, i just guess they feel that at 70 yrs old and having to gut the house and cope with moving and the fish it is all too much , if anyone can help them by looking after them or taking them , that would be great

I'd offer in a shot if I was close enough (I'm in Cornwall, so that wouldn't be any good!)

I'm sure someone will be able to help; give it a day or two; not everyone lives on this forum, believe it or not, lol!
