Help Picking Fish

hi i have

6 x GOLDEN GOURAMI 2-3 inch
6 x BRISTLE NOSE PLEC 2-3 inch
2 x HOPLO CATFISH 5 inch

and ive been tryin to find out what other fish could i have with mine
my tank is 48-18-18 inch around 65 gallons. the fish are only young so they will need room to grow aswell
im new to this so dont want anything whats gonna be to hard to look after,
any help would be appreciated

honestly i think you're fully stocked already. since i believe golden gourami's grow to about 5 inches, and you have 6 of them it'll take up 30 gallons, BN plecs also another 4-5 inches adding another 30 gallons and finally 2 catfish so that'll take the rest.

generally it's 1 gallon per inch of fish. but some fish like oscars need 30 gallons/fish

so ya, you're fully stocked already.

I would get rid of 4 gold gouramis and just keep a pr. The males have a longer more pointed dorsal (top) fin. Females are shorter and rounded. If you keep all 6 they will probably fight when mature.

Likewise I would get rid of at least 3 of the bristlenose catfish because they are messy fish and will need supplemental feeding to prevent them starving in that size tank.

A pr of Hoplos are fine, on males the first pectoral (side) fin ray is thicker and orange. the females have thinner fin rays without the colour.

If you have 2 gouramis, 2 b/nose catfish and 2 hoplos you could add some rainbowfish (melanotaenia sp), or some rosy barbs (or something along those lines). You could have a pr of angelfish. Just depends on what you like.
