Hi all. Listening and reading to you all is pulling me slowly into the world of south american cichlids. So yesterday I went fishstore hopping in Sacramento CA and came home with a keyhole cichlid. I thought of all these are the most community oriented of the bigger cichlids. I guess medium sized cichlids. So He/she is in with now 7 congo tetras, 2 angels, 2 apistos, 5 corys and on bn plec. They are in a 60 gallon well-planted tank that I'm working on making a near heavily planted tank. The tank is double filtered with sand substrate. Is anyone at risk here from the keyhole? I'll go read more about keyholes now. I know, reasearch research first.

I have another tank, 29 gallon with 2 bolivian rams. I want to put the bolivian rams in the 60 because the 29 has black substrate and black background and this really washes out the colors of the rams. If I move them to the 60 Aqua Advisor says I'm well filtered but overstocked at 107%. Should I move the apistos to the 29? Other ideas?

I think you are fine for now all fish are still small right? Once they are all adults then you might want to think about moving fish around. I think your fine and the stocking looks good.

Agreed. Although with 2 x Angels, 2 x Apistos, 2 x bolivian Rams and a keyhole all in together, there is a chance that some of them may not get on (it is always a bit unpredictable). So they may well decide for you who may need to be moved !
