My 7 year old son has really taken an interest in my tanks just lately so I thought he should start his own tank up. (And it means I got away with buying another tank)

So I snapped up a 30 litre cube which is is mid cycle.

Now for my dilemma. I thought I could convince him to buy a Betta - no chance, he flatly refuses !

What the hell can I (sorry he) put in a tank that small ????

Inspiration needed please.....

Thanks

a handful of neon tetras?

perhaps a few guppies?

Really a betta is the best choice for an aquarium that size, but also consider a little known fish called Least killifish...

Once I had a 5 gallon tank with a few snails and ghost shrimp in it, perhaps a non-fish tank for a change?

i think that he would really like a planted aquarium with loads of plants and 5-6 neon tetras
