Help Needed

has any one no of away to move water i have just been given a 4 ft tank and stand but i have got to move it all today but i dont have any thing i can put the water in i ned to save some but what in the minmum what it the most you can change in a water change the if that are comein with it are parrot wish wich i no are not liked but thay come with the tank

Keeping some of the water is preferable, but not absolutely necessary.

If you don't have anything to transport the water in, don't take any. Just bag up the fish, like you had just bought it from the LFS. Once you get the tank in position, set it all up, fill with water and make sure the water temperature is ok. Then just acclimatise the fish same as you would if it were a new fish in an established tank.

Obviously you will need to take some water in the bag for the fish, and some to keep the filter media wet (very important).

also dont feed for a couple of days and check ammonia levels etc daily also ph very important as it may be different to what itwas at.

make sure acclimitse fish very slowly.

you will probably get ammonia peak as water is new

was from a mate he come over the other day and see my other tank and just said i have one like that but bigger you can have it if you want so i bit his arm off
