Hello,
I bought a 95l tank and I need help in planning what fish and plants to get. Please consider the following:
- I just ordered Pettex Roman Jet Black Gravel 8 kg on Amazon
- I would like to keep in the tank shrimp and snails in addition to fish
- I definitely want live plant only not plastic or silk
- I prefer big rather then small fish
- I don't want fish such as mollies, guppies, tetras, danios because I am not fond of them, I prefer something bigger and less ordinary

I will do fishless cycle and I am not going to add fish before tank is ready. However I would appreciate some advice to help me plan the fish and plants.

I am in United Kingdom if it matters.

Thanks!

Hi cattleya, :hi: to the forum.

Can we have the dimensions of the tank (as it's important, if you want larger fish, that they don't grow too big, and have enough room to swim and turn around comfortably!) and whether your water is hard or soft? That'll help us to give you some suitable suggestions :good:

Well done for going with a fishless cycle; good choice :D

This is glass tank 80 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm. I did not get to check how hard the water is yet, I will do it soon.
However I found this information about the water where I live: "Most areas have soft to moderately soft water: 0 - 100mg per litre as calcium carbonate equivalent."
