Help Mollys Have Popeye

i think two of my mollys have developed popeye my stats check ok what could cause this

Hi, one of my Mollies had popeye in one eye only so I think he got it from an injury as no other fish had it. It is usually related to water quality problems but as yours is ok I'm afraid I don't know. I treated my Molly successfully with Interpet No 9. The instructions are nice and clear. The eye didn't go down to completely normal but the fish is ok and still swimming happily about. HTH.

Are you keeping them in salt or hard, alkaline water? If you aren't, the water stats may be the issue. They do best in those conditions, and when they aren't in them, they are less immune to diseases.

I'm assuming you are in the UK, so I can't really recommend any medications. Water changes and the addition of some salt may be beneficial, provided your other fish can handle the salt.

If the eye is bulging out yes it's popeye, and you will need anti internal bacteria med by interpet. good luck.
