Okay, so heres the deal. I have 4 Neon Tetras in my 60L along with 5 Zebra Danios, 2 Glowlight Tetras & a Gibbicep Pleco (Length 2.5 Inches)

One of my Neons has gone missing.

Firstly, I checked the tank to see if it was just out of sight, then checked the floor for it. No luck.

Then i removed the filter to see if in some bizzare way it had got sucked in. No luck.

Then i quickly moved some surface substrate, then a lot of substrate, creating a cloud of Sh*t. Still no luck.
(note my substrate is very small & the only way a fish could get under it is to bury itself)

At this point im thing wth? wheres my tetra.

WHERE COULD IT BE?

Has the pleco (see length) eaten its corpse?

I ruled out the possibility of it jumping out of the tank, because it would be hard looking at my tank for a neon, but i checked the floor anyway.

PLEASE, i need suggestions! because i don't want a corpse rotting in my tank!

James.

Yep. Probably eaten by other fish. A dead neon is nothing to worry abou if you tank is cycled. No need to panic.

if it dead the plec probably eaten him.

Check your water stats to make sure water quality is good.

Sorry for your loss.
R.I.P.

Check fish over for signs of ill health.

Firstly, thanks both for your replies.

Its more than certainly dead, so im guessing the pleco did eat. I just thought because it was so small, it would not try.

I guess i just need to find the reason of the death now.

Thanks Again, James.

Ok.
Check water stats and fish for any signs of desease.
How old are the neons.
Make sure the neons red stripe is vibrant red.
