I'm experienced in fishkeeping.
I'm redoing my aquarium, and having a tetra tank of about 100 tetras.
I know the general rule is 6+ per kind of tetra.
Would I be able to do 4 of each kind up to 100 fish?
Would this work?
I know less than 6 of each kind usually means there could be aggression but seen as there's so many other distractions would it matter ?
Thanks

Welcome to TFF.

What size is the tank? How is it filtered?

Regardless, tetras need to be in groups of 8, at minimum...10 is better, more even better than that

I concur with above members, always have sizable groups of a shoaling species. For most, 10-12 is what should be considered minimum. Some species, especially those that have a tendency to be somewhat aggressive require even more, say 15-20. How many species will depend upon the species, and the tank size. Not all tetras can be housed in the same tank.
