Might pay to check the seals are ok on it before you assume its going to work perfectly on a new tank.

What size tank are you getting?

prefect filter for that volume of water then, just check it works and doesnt leak, the old models are known for leaking.

Yes the dude (I think he was Slovakian, he had a really weird accent btw :p ) who sold it to me had it up and running, so I know it's leak free.
The bad thing is, that I have to clean his dirty *** filter out now...

how long has it been out of action?

For about 2 hours, but I have it running in a small bucket with fish food and my other filter media.
So I want to ask, can I still keep the bacterias from his tank?

Its possible you will keep the bacteria alive with fish food yes.

I would be using ammonia from Homebase though and using a test kit to measure the levels rather than using fish food and keeping my fingers crossed.

but for god sake dont clean the filter, at all, for now.

I didn't clean it, but according to this guy, it haven't been cleaned for 2.5 months... Ew.
But I got a £10 discount for buying it dirty :)

Read the thread, sounds like an awesome plan! Glad you didn't give up :D

Yeahh, might take a while but once it does it'll be epic :D
