Hi there I have kept fish for a while mainly peacock cichlids and have bough a new 300l tank and have a jack Dempsey I want to keep it simple but I dont want them to be alone so I wanted a different sex JD for breeding or just company instead of trying to integrate other species I know it's very hard to do and I dont have that sort of experience or a big enough tank for a divider I'd you could help me identify the sex of the one I have that would help alot thank you

It's a bit young to sex.

The best way to get a pair of cichlids is to put a group of 8-10 young fish together in the same tank and let them grow up together. When they mature they will pair off naturally and the pairs are more likely to be successful.
