haha! i love how they look and behave i think khuli's are winning this hands down, and to be honest i think i'l go for it and get some

I'd go with kuhlis. They small, and look just darling wiggling around the tank.

I love kuhlis too! They are so cute and fun to watch.

Mine will munch a bit on zucchini that I put down for my farlowella cats, but as Fishy Friend mentioned, they much prefer meatier foods. Mine go NUTS over frozen or live bloodworms and frozen or live brine shrimp. I also feed Omega One veggie wafers for my other fish, and they like those, and I feed some shrimp pellets, which they also love.

Not sure how your tank is scaped, but they like hiding places and plants. If you have more hiding places I've found you'll see them out more, because they're more confident. (Which kind of seems like backwards logic, but it works!)

thanks for all the info by the way, at the moment i got a couple of pieces of mopani wood in my tank and a few plants gonna be going out to get a big load of plants soon though to re scape my tank, i was planning to plant from one corner of my tank inwards to about the middle and leave half of the bottom area open for the khuli's to come out and play in or dig around or whatever

They are fun to watch how they zoom around the tank, throw themselves into the plants and snuggle up to each other!

We got my son's 20 gallon as an established tank which included 2 Black Kuhlis. One has since died but the other is all over the tank. Kuhlis will like low to medium height grassy like plants well spread out & then they feel totally confident to whip up & down the sides of the tank....................his tank has some Amazon Swords and he likes that. I wish we could up the numbers to 4 or 6 but his tank is too stocked as it is.

i dont want to be assassinated by khuli's i want to live and know the pleasure of keeping them !
i think ive had about 34724712 posts about khuli's and a massive zero nil non about chain loach xD oh well i love khuli's!
