hey guys, my sister got two honey gouramis yesterday (1male 1 female), we noticed that the male (elvis) had 2 white lumps (quite small) on the right hand side of his head but he seemed fine and was swimming around nicely in his new tank. but today he doesn't look too good, he stays near the top of the tank only swimming alittle bit but he is okay to swim around for food and for 5 minutes after but then goes higher in the tank and swims a little bit. i read somewhere it could be Lymphocystis, but they said it had no symptoms and didn't effect the fish.

cheers

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The lumps on the head do they look soft like filled with fluid or hard looking.
Any redness to the lumps.

Lmpthocystis.
The lumps will look like a cauliflower or a cluster of berries.
Or the lump will look smooth.

she has a 12g tank at the minute waiting to upgrade to a 29g tank in a few weeks.
she has 2 honey's, 5 neon tetra, 2 peppered corys

no redness to the lumps but the same colour as the fish around the base then white towards the top of the lumps
they look soft and hard tbh -_-

the lumps are smooth

Is it possible to load a pic up onto the site.
Has the lump just suddenly appeared.
All you can do is issolate and try a bacterial med.
