Help First Test Results

You need to be adding fish or ammonia immediately, or the bacteria will starve.

Did you dechlorinate the new water when you added it?

Your pH is perfect for guppies and platys.

Yes declorinated it. Was gonna get 3 platy today is that ok to start
That should be fine.. get either 3 males, 3 females or 1 male and 2 females.

What size is the tank?

It's a 60 litre. When I did my research the guy suggested 2 females and one male so I'll go with that

sounds like a plan, plop them in and leave the lights off for the night, next evening do a water test for ammonia and nitrIte, see how it looks, if nothing registers, test every evening for a week. if the results are good, test every other day for a week. remember to do it in the daylight as indoor lighting often makes the ammonia test yellow look green. good luck!

PS, im not in your garden any more...your door was unlocked... :0

Oh, quite small.. you might want to be very careful.. not many spare bacteria to play around with here! Also, you are quite likely to have a population explosion if you get females for a tank that small, and that can crash it altogether for you.. like I say, be very careful and be prepared to move fry out.

what do you recommened I get fish wise then?

go for the same sex fish and enjoy them, if you get into it more and enjoy keeping them, you can upgrade the tank to something bigger :)
