A bloke where my hubby works bought 2 little bumble bee gobies in with him to "FLUSH" so the kids didnt see as the tank broke and he doesn't want the trouble of getting another one , so hubby just came home with them .
WHAT do i do ?
They are in the kiddies juwel rekord 60 at the moment as i have no where else for them to go

REKORD60 5 longfin,5 golden&3 WCM minnows,10 Oryzias Javanicusi,7 khuli loaches,2 pitbull plecs,tiger,green dwarf shrimp , apple snail ,4 sulewesi elephant snails AND NOW 2 bumble bee gobys

so basically HELP ME !!!!!

If you can't rehome them or properly care for them, then euthenasia is the answer. I know it sounds cruel, but in the long run it is much more humane.

i'm willing to keep them but just want to know more about them

euthenanasia

no its not take them to your lfs and say ill give you these rare species for free as theylle think your an idiot or get another tank :hype

You should be fine to keep them, that sounds like a great tank for them (lots of small, non-boisterous fish where they can get plenty of food).

thing is they're not that rare where i am the bloke got them £7 for 2 at a local fish shop , he told hubby they were freshwater so thats why hubby rehomed them - i said to hubby i thought gobys were brackish but he said the bloke has had them for 10 months in a com tank with minnows and mollys , so thats why hubby said we'd rehome them instead of the flushing

i'm getting more and more confused

They're a bit of an odd one as sometimes they do better in FW, sometimes in brackish. Nmonks has written quite a bit about them, he keeps them in FW with no troubles.

looks like hopefully they will have a good home here

If I recall properly, they do prefer harder water (the FW species) and they should be kept away from predatory species, and they don't grow large at all.

i'll give them a home and keep a close eye on them if i see that they are going down hill at all then i will pass them on to another good home
They are happily marching round the tank at the moment

i would get a small 30 litre (18*10*10) set up with a salinity of 1.003 SG the salt will buffer the hardness giving them what they prefer, please post photos for an ID (as there are a few species).

i have 2 in my community tank and they are very active so they should be fine in your tank.

2 of £7 my lfs sells them for 79p each actualy i think they just changed them to £1
