Help/advice With An Eye Problem?

I can always return them (if unopened, obviously), or better, keep them in my fishy emergency kit in case I ever have to deal with whatever it treats again. Just don't want to get something to begin with that isn't what he needs.

Maracyn products are fine.

Do they look like white specs or spots.
Tiny white spots on the eye can be whitespot.
Speck behind lens of eyes can be flukes.

Thanks Wilder. I don't know actually - since he's not here yet I can't get a good look. In the close up pics, it just looks like the eye is swollen and very cloudy, and there are thicker white bits in one spot. (If you scroll to the first message here, you'll see what I mean in the first couple of pics - it's so hard to describe!) I don't know if they're fuzzy ... I didn't think so, but without him here yet...

Am I best using BOTH Maracyn 1 & 2? Or stick with just Maracyn?

Sometimes it best to cover all bases and use maracyn one and two.
See how he goes with the maracyn.
If no improvement in four days get back to the board.

I will get you some info on maracyn.

Will use both then, Wilder - thank you so much. I expect to pick him up on Friday - have to get the all I need (heater etc) today and tomorrow and set up for him.

Oh - one quick thing as I set out buying supplies. You had said to increase aeration. I never use anything other than filter on low for the bettas, but what with this med in there, shall I plan on buying an air pump and airstone for him?

Airstones are good. But you will need to buy a gang valve so you can turn the flow up and down.
But if you think the filter on low has enough aeration it should be fine.
