Hello! Very new to the hobby, bit obsessed already…

Currently we have 6 neons, 3 black phantoms, 2 corydoras and a shrimp. the Corys have names as one is white and one is spotted, they are George and Lando, named for F1 drivers as they belt round the tank like lunatics. Shrimp is a new addition today.

We started 6 weeks ago with a 40l. Just ordered a 125l…

Wow beautiful tank and nice fish. If you have any questions with how to set up any tanks or anything just ask us on the forum! Love the names of your Cory’s, they are schooling fish though and so it would be good to have 5 or 6 of each kind of Cory.

Over the last 3 weeks we’ve been cycling the new tank & putting everyone over little by little. Corey’s are in, black phantoms, 3 loaches & 2 shrimps. Neons are still in the old tank as we suspect they have cotton mouth 😕

in a couple of weeks, once we’re totally happy that new tank is perfect (tested every day, ammonia still at 0!) we’ll get some more Cory, so Fernando, Charles, Pierre & Carlos will be joining George & Lando! George is a bit of a loner, Lando has made friends with the loaches, they are all currently playing around zooming on the filter current which seems to be some kind of fun game!

Yes, we’ve got some Melafix after speaking to LFS. Only 2 of 5 looking like they have it now, everyone still eating and looking bright as ever.

Melafix may not do anything - it's just tea tree oil. A better medication is eSHa 2000 or one of the Waterlife products (@Ichthys will know which one).

But lots of water changes is the first thing to try, and if that doesn't work, then look at medications.

Ahh thanks. It’s so flipping frustrating when you think you’re doing the right thing & then it’s not. We’ve been doing water changes regularly anyway.

Fpund the waterlife products, thanks! Ordered some of the myxazin which says it treats mouth fungus.
