The eastern painted hatchling I previously owned was found one morning by mistake. She was in one of the holes I had dug out back that was going to be filled in with my "plants"..... she evidentally fell into it on her way to the swamp outback. There was swamp on both sides of the road I lived on and always turtles laying eggs in front of my yard for years I had never seen or found a hatchling till then. It was just her. My kids loved her to pieces but she was my sweet baby haha i fell in love!
which had invaded my fresh water tanks, I currently have feeder guppies in with them. They do not seem very interested now with the guppies but may have eaten a few fry. When they were younger they went after anything in the tank. I do keep them well fed too so they may not have the appetite to go chasing guppies which are faster than they are.
