Hello!!

The eastern painted hatchling I previously owned was found one morning by mistake. She was in one of the holes I had dug out back that was going to be filled in with my "plants"..... she evidentally fell into it on her way to the swamp outback. There was swamp on both sides of the road I lived on and always turtles laying eggs in front of my yard for years I had never seen or found a hatchling till then. It was just her. My kids loved her to pieces but she was my sweet baby haha i fell in love!

As someone who has done this, it is not advisable. Turtles will naturally nip at fish, and fish will frequently nip at turtles. I would not say they will be fine because I have not yet managed to actually communicate verbally with the fish (or turtles). ;) There is also the issue of disease back and forth, as someone in another thread a few months back faced.
I'm sure especially if they have longer fins and tentacles and look appealing....anything could happen. I wouldn't try and attempt it without having another set up to be able to remove them if issues arrised.

Also making sure the fish have places to hide within the tank of they need to helps!

My RES have developed a taste for pond snails, which had invaded my fresh water tanks, I currently have feeder guppies in with them. They do not seem very interested now with the guppies but may have eaten a few fry. When they were younger they went after anything in the tank. I do keep them well fed too so they may not have the appetite to go chasing guppies which are faster than they are.:fish:

I had a terrapin years back and it ate all my tetras and yabbies in next to no time. I would now tend towards making a tank dedicated to yabbies alone from then on. I also learnt to separate the yabbies eventually.
This is about all I can add to help; if it's any help at all.
