Settling down in a nice town near the Red River (which is more of a stream if you're used to rivers in mountainous areas).

It's a bit of a hike to find a good fish store, up to a 2-hour drive.

Thats a bummer alright
Welcome to the forums .Hope you find them useful :)

Yes, it's online shopping for me. Still, it takes less to drive 120 miles here to find a good fish store than it did to drive 25 miles in Los Angeles.

And the site is way useful...if only I'd had the fishless cycle recipe. There are a lot of web pages out there that talk about it, but rrd1952's article is the first one I've seen that really has every step and contingency laid out clearly. Wish I'd known about it 4 months ago!

Hello and welcome to the forum. :hi:

Glad you like the Fishless Cycling thread. Hope it helps with your next tank.

When I read your fishless cycling receipe, I had one of those "Oh, I could've had a V-8!" moments.

I'm almost out of physical real estate (flat surfaces) to put an additional tank...but I'm thinking of upgrading my 10 gallon tanks to 20-gallon high w/ an Eclipse 1 twinlight hood on each. That'd be a good time to try it...of course as time and finances permit!
