:D I'm new and wanted to say hello to everyone.

I'm also a newbie when it comes to aquariums, so, i might be asking alot of questions..

So far, I have the following:

Wall Bowl - Had a betta in it, but he was sick from the day he was given to us. :rip:

2.5 Gallon - (this is our "medication" tank. Only used when we need to medicate fish)

2.5 Gallon - "nothing in it, it's still waiting to be used" possibly going to be kept for future fry one day.

2.5 gallon bowl.- which has our beautiful blue female betta.

5 gallon - A beautiful Orange Male Betta

10 gallon - "it's cycling right now"

20 gallon - 3 rosey red minnows, 3 feeder goldfish , an albino cory, and a pleco of some sorts.

29 gallon - "it's STILL cycling" (had guppies, but they all passed on) :rip:

Hi and welcome!

your "betta wall bowl" is probably wayyyy too small for bettas - they are actually tropical fish who need filtration and a heater! (something LFS (local fish shop) never tell buyers!

and also...those feeder goldfish are going to grow HUGE!!! 20 gallons is the requirement for ONE goldfish, with 10 gallons more for each additional goldfish. they are a member of the carp family and unless housed in an ENORMOUS tank with LOTS and LOTS of filtration...they really should be a pond fish only.

also, corydoras are a schooling fish that should be kept in groups of 6 or more....

becareful with your pleco....common plecos grow very very big (think 16" and bigger) and need a huge tank.....

Hello and welcome to TFF, enjoy your stay here, its a great community here with lots of helpful and nice people :)

Welcome to TFF BlueOrchids.
It looks like you have lots of readily available small volumes where you could put a new fish. That is the condition that I like to find myself in when I go to a convention like the ALA convention in Detroit. It means that if I find suitable fish at the convention, I can expect them to thrive when I bring them home to my own tanks.
