hey every1!
ive just got a heater for m tank n its got no numbers on it so how am i ment to tell how many watz its on alls it is is a green twisty nob on top!
thanks!
:good:

Put a thermometer in the tank, then you will know what the temp is. You will have to work out how to turn the heater up or down, there might be a + or - symbol next to the green nob on the top. The + will be to turn the temp up, - is to turn it down. Normally when you turn the heater up a red light will come on in the heating unit. When you turn it down the red light should go out.

yep :)
but only adjust it a little bit at a time. If you turn the heater up or down too much you will stress the fish. If there aren't any fish in the tank yet, then it doesn't matter.

It may take time for the warm water to circulate evenly around the tank, so if you adjust the knob a lot, let it sit for an hour or so. If you are just fine tuning, then I assume you are quite close, so it wont take as long to warm or cool 1 or 2 degrees :)
