Have Gravel Currently, But Would They Prefar Sand?

Ok last question before I go ( as my internet connection keeps logging itself off and its wrecking my head  )

So, if I was to consider putting real plants in my tank and remove the plastic/silk ones....would this upset my cycle? (You know the history of my tank Miss Wiggle ;) )

Would it be ok to add them now….or like the sand, should I wait a few weeks?

Do I have enough space in a 10gal...would they take over?

When I get a chance later I'll spend some time over on the real plants section.

there's a bit of a knack to cleaning sand with a vac and not sucking loads up, but once you've got the hang of it it's dead easy. you just hover the vac maybe 0.5cm above the sand, swirl it round in a small circle and the poop will be picked up and sucked up the tube and the sand will stay. You don't stick it into the sand like you would with gravel.

no adding real plants shouldn't affect the cycle, in theory plants absorb ammonia however the quantities are so small that it's unlikley to have any practical effect unless you have a whole lot of plants.
