Hasbrosus Dropped Eggs

hi i only have one female hasbrosus - been trying to get somemore for a few months and cant get any at a reasonable price , lfs has some on order but they will be wild caught and they were left out of the order last month

the female hasbrosus is in a tank with 15 pygmy corys and 4 black cory juveys
i did a water change and went for a fag came back and she was in the process of dropping a pile of eggs on the sand

She looks a lot slimmer now , she has been looking like a little barrel - why has she done this , i didnt think they would lay eggs without a male in the tank , should i remove the eggs andlet my fish eat them cos they wont be fertilized and to save them going fungusy (is there such a word)

Ahhh.... How disappointing. I hope you can get some more soon.

Yes, you might as well let them be eaten since they haven't been fertilized. I'm looking forward to seeing some good news as soon as you get some males for her. Do keep after the lfs to get them in while they can.

she does seem a lot more active now and her belly isnt so chubby so might have done her some good
i will get the eggs out and let the fish have a little snack
i'm so desperate for these little corys - i got this one cos i adopted it and she was all alone being beaten up by some angels and gouramis
she has scars over her and has now all healed up , she really enjoys playing with the pygmys but it would just be so nice to see her with some more of her own kind , bless her
