I have strong coffee to watch the sun come up. I find filling the fishroom with houseplants and light is good for me. It can get to you when you get a short, very cloudy day.
Everyone around here goes mad for Christmas lights, and they often have little to do with Christmas. They stay up for a long time.

You need a good holiday to brighten things up, and I can see why the ancients always made a big thing of the Solstice, long before Christmas. It's a milestone in the year, and starts a process of hope. Every day now, we get closer and closer to working daphnia cultures!
