mmmmm...
I have four children, 6, 4, 3 and 6 months.
The harrowing times my hubby and I have had with them and fishkeeping!
When we were super novices - the morning after we got our first ever community tank in fact, my 4 yo whom we brought the tank for in the first place who was three then, now is (EDIT: almost) five dumped a whole 500 gram pack of dry food into the tank!!! So not only did the poor buggers have stress from being moved into a new house the night before, they also had to deal with that. Luckily we did have a vac, we gave them a 100% water change and they all survived. AMAZING. Then he did it again about two months later the morning after my hubby had brought a tank for his own birthday. We weren't so lucky that time, there were several casulties.
He must be somewhat of a 'natural' fish keeper though, because hes the only person I know who can catch fish by hand. He's done so a few times and moved them into different tanks. No casulties there just WTF! until we realised what he was doing and that he was simply capable of it. Before that it was a bit of a mystery.
I've told this one before too.. my 6yo who at the time was 5, was playing with my female betta (my favourite), she was aclimatising in a cup ready for a small community. The female betta did a betta thing and flipped out flopped onto the desk, onto the floor and was behind my hubby's tower. She came in and told us straight away, thankfully, but we couldn't find her for ages, the betta had actually flipped herself across the room and was against the wall where she was saved. She survived!!! YAY! but

AGGGHHHH!!!!
We have since learnt and now our tanks are either out of reach or locked up. It's all in the learning process.
Cheers, Xanthia
