So this is my first try at a high tech tank and am using my little 20L tank.

Lighting: 3x8watt t5 tubes, 24watts
Soil: ADA
Co2: DIY system monitered by a drop checker
Ferts: Dosing with dry powders, KNO3, KH2PO4 and a micro mix.
Plants: Hairgrass, Glossostigma and Blyxa Japonica

So i've got it all planted up the hairgrass has been in for about 2 weeks and I just recieved the glosso and blyxa and planted it yesterday here are some pics was still a little cloudy when they were taken.

I'm not quite happy with it as the driftwood was a little bigger than I thought and touches the back wall of the tank but i'm just gonna leave it and let the glosso and blyxa grow in abit before I move stuff around. I done my best at planting some of the glosso as it was a pain to do so hopefully it stays alive.

Will update once its got a little bit of growth :)

Good start, i wouldnt worry about the size of the bogwood, any decor looks like it gets smaller over time as plants grow over it.

So a little update I lost all the blyxa except for 1 stem cause I think they were abit to dried out when I got them in the tank so hopefully this one survives and I can split it.

Other then that the glosso is going good its greened up heaps and theres a few new runners growing, but the dam hairgrass is going mental growing everywhere. It sent some runners underneath the wood and into the glosso so when I pulled up the runner it pulled the glosso up so had to replant it which is a pain in the #16#####. Gonna have to put something in the tank to block it from going though that way.

Also once everythings going nicely I need to move the soil, I need less at the front and more at the back so theres more of a slant to it.

i would trim the hairgrass right down in order to promote new growth enabling the carpeted effect. you should trim it to about 2cm of the substrate, and if everything is right in your tank, it should grow back thicker and therefore more dense.

Yeah I trimmed it all today its filling in quick the new stuff is alot more greener but doesn't grow straight up its all wavy everywhere which I like but don't think its gonna get high enough to what I want :(
