Guppys And Endlers

I now this isn't in the right section but I need an answer quickly. I was given endler fry by a friend and 1 fully grown male so I put the fry in my sons tank as it was empty and put the endler in my fathers tank. This was about a week ago now. He's got 4 guppys in his tank and the endler today has gone nuts and attacked the guppys taking chunks out of their tails.

Are u not supposed to keep endlers and guppys together? Or will the problem calm down on its own?

they should be fine together. seeing as the can breed and make hybrids (i think, im not expert just heard someone say it on here)

they could just be sorting out a pecking order. or something along them lines.

endlers are a type of guppie i think.

are you sure its an endlers?

Endlers should be fine with guppies as they can interbreed.
Are the guppies you already have males?
If so as Mike said, they could just be establishing the pecking order, or if you have females they could be harassing them to mate

True endlers seldom press a female for attention the way a guppy does. Do you have a picture of your "endler"?

I never allow a guppy and an endler in the same room, much less the same tank. The endlers are uniformly not at all aggressive but a cross is something I won't chance and fish can survive a while in a wet net. Nets never go from room to room. That is why the different room.

im not in the house at the mo ill get a picture when i get home i was told its and endler and its got a bigger tail than the guppys thats what i thought the difference was between them. yeah they are all males but its quite violent

Endlers are smaller than your average guppy...

Have you got this the right way round?

He is fully grown so I don't know whether the guppys are still quite young ill do some more research on them
