guppy spine problems

My guppy recently gave birth and I read somewhere that they might have a spine problem after the birth and I'm afraid that she might have that. She's swimming vertically and just can't seem to stay horizontal.

Does anyone know what could be wrong and how I can help her?

hi there - sorry to hear about your guppy. Sometimes the females do have problems after giving birth. I've lost a few after they have given birth. imo all you can do is make sure they are in clean water with small frequent w/changes (i.e no ammonia/nitrites, low nitrate) feed a nutritious diet (I feed brine shrimp, bloodworms, daphnia etc), and as stress free as poss (no male in the tank) if I have a weak female I also add a small amount of salt (about 1/4 tsp per gall) to the water I am changing in the tank - a lot of them do recover with the tlc but sadly a few don't.

Sorry to hear about that. Yes, I've had quite a few guppy girls die after like their third litter. It's so much stress that I think the momma has to be in good condition with adequate food.
Not much you can do, except look for remedies for swim bladder problems.
Not like guppies are endangered
