Guppy Fry

i have a question

i have a 5 gallon tank with about 30 guppy fry, and none have shown any signs of colour

just wondering if this is normal

Oh yup that's fine.

Some dont show color for three weeks or so, though you may see them get darker.

Males will get there color first, if they are normal guppies, they should get them in at least a 1 to 2 months after birth, females will get there color later, if they get any

thats perfectly normal although i have a 12 guppy fry and 1 of them got blue on his/hers tale at 1 day old

sometimes they have the tiniest color at a couple of days old, but usually you should start to see color within 3 weeks depends what you feed them

Krill is a good food for bringing out color in fish in general, i agree with the others though, guppy fry are usually born very bland in color(usually cream, brown or black/grey), colors like reds and metallic colors usuallly start to appear once the fry is 1-2months old.
30 fry though in a 5gal with outgrow it very quickly, and if they all survive, thats a lot of guppys to rehome- personally i would put half of them back in the main tank to fend for themselves(chances are some of them will survive anyway depending on what fish you have in there), and devote the ones in the 5gal to a more secure enviroment with more space to grow in- they will most likely grow stronger and healthier if they aern't too crowded too .

but shes got a 10 gallon

is that ok for only 15 or so fry?

A 10gal could raise them til they are half grown, but for full grown guppys i'd only advise 6guppys in a 10gal. Inevitably you will still need to rehome some to prevent inbreeding when they mature, or get 2 much larger tanks to separate the genders.

i have a weird one for ya then

what if i put a betta in with my guppies,neons,danios

would it attack??

It'd either attack, or get attacked. Most types of Danios will nip long-finned fish. Neons can be nippy too. The Guppies' tails would be prime targets for the Betta. It's a no-win situation, either way.
