Hi all
I recently got hold of 4 male guppies for my newly cycled tank. As they were rather small mouthed fishes, I got hold of a bottle of TetraPrima Mini Granules. Fed them a couple of times with it and I've already noticed;
1. guppies would swallow a granule but then spit it back out immediately?
2. granules fall too quick and my guppies dont realise the food has sunk to the bottom
So I decided to go out and get a small tub of Tetra PRO vegetable food; these small circular flake type food.
The guppies are trying to take small bites out of it but it appears to be too hard for them to break up initially; when the flakes do soften up, they would take a bite but then spit out segments of it??
Now are they being extrememly fussing eaters or is this the way these small fish process food, but only taking in very tiny bits?
cheers
