Guppy Deaths

I've lost a lot of guppys recently.

I had 12 in there own private breeder tank, parameters are next to perfect.

i have noticed only one symptom when they die, this is that sometimes they rub against the bottom on the sand?

I've used some generaltonic to try and fix it, seems to have worked. Any other tips?

If it was rubbing then yes it sounds like their was a bacterial infection irritating the the gill's and/or the body of the fish.

Doing a general tonic treatment would of helped stop it spreading to any other fish, but if the one fish was stressed for what ever reasons then this make it open to a problem which would of not affected the other's.

I would sugest though to do a couple of water changes in the next week though just to help.

Do you see any white spots, ick? You could have a parasite in that tank if they are flashing. I agree, you should carry out some water changes and see if that helps.
