Hi

I have one pregnant female and two male guppies. On 6th march we spotted three reeeally tiny babies, then nothing until last Friday when we spotted a fourth much smaller baby.

It doesn't look like the mum is giving birth anytime soon, but she is the only pregnant livebearer in there - is it normal for there to be such a gap between babies?

Thanks, Sarah

Usually no.  But it can be caused from stress.  Maybe keep the light off for a few days and keep them well fed.  But don't over feed.

This can happen often, they usually hold on too fry when stress but she will ultimately be pregnant all her life and when due drop whether you expect it or not, I've realised that they don't always box off either especially with guppies and endlers
