Looks male to me, but hard to tell with hybrids, A normal female Texas would normally have a black splotch on the dorsal fin. (same with ZZ Flowerhorns that are similar)

ok no worries mate. thanks :) any suggestons for a good temperature for the water and a ph level?

I have always kept all my fish at neutral and at 28c in my 15+ years of keeping fish, unless i'm keeping Malawis then i buff it with Argonite sand :)

oh yep sweet thats what i do have mine set at.. 28 and neutral... haven't been keeping fish for long so still got alot to learn. lol
