Greeings All, Newbie And There Tank And A Few Questions

Ok got me tub of activated carbon pellets, includes netting bag do I just fill the bag up and put it in place of my ceramic noodle things in the second tray or something else?

Yes, but if you can wedge it in there without removing any of the noodles or sponge so much the better.

rgr ta. I assume I should wash them first in bag till runs clear or is that defeating the object?

You can do either, it won't really hurt. When ever i put new media in the filter i give it a quick swish in some old tank water, i suppose it just comes down to preference.

Skins.

Right it's in, waters definately passin through it. Do I have to leave it in there for so long or just till the waters cleared?

If you take it out as soon as the water's cleared, the tannins will probably come back! You'll probably need to keep some carbon in the filter for at least a few months, until the bogwood has stopped leaching. The carbon will get 'full' after a month or two and will need replacing.

You will see results in a suprising short amount of time.

I bet its clear in the morning.

Heres hoping so, would be a nice suprise. I've somehow disturbed my silent mod to the filter and now theres a loud drippin noise from the outlet of the filter system, any ideas how to silence it? Can't seem too get mod to work like before.

Tank is an Aqua One AR620

Ok well the water doesn't seemed to have changed much, but it's onna them things that it's hard to tell if anythins happened. The dripping noise is really gettin on me nerves though so I'll have to do summut about that because it sounds like the tanks constantly leakin, lol

Still no change (that I can see) in the water colour so will check the waters goin through th carbon ok which it should be. Got my API master test kit off ebay too ready for the cyclin which all bein well should start tomorrow evenin :)

Edit:
The water is deffo passing through the carbon so dunno whats up. I'll try and get a pic so yu can see what it's been like before and since I put the carbon in cause it don't seem to have changed. Thought it might have looked a bit clearer but most likely me just lookin for it.

Edit2:
Not gettin me ammonia tomoz, will be friday, ahh well...

Ok heres how it's lookin and has been lookin since I first posted about it.
