i didnt know if it was the done thing to do but as it would die anyway i just thought it was its only chance.

ive decide to get another trio of these bush fish giving me 5 in total, as long as the lfs has them still in stock

no more otos with them again.... i thought that because they were so small perches that the otos would be ok for a few weeks the remainig oto has now been removed and put in another tank to prevent any more losses

Your tradegy has reassured me that I did the right thing yesterday, moving my trio of Ctenopoma back to the 540l, leaving just my "wife battering" male Lionhead cichlid in there with my new group of 12 ~1.5cm Persian Killifish. Most of the newcomers would probably have been alright, but there was one or two I pictured as being to tempting a size.

Wish I had read the updates here now before posting in your monster tank stocking thread, as I've now read you plan to get another three Ctenopoma to make a group of five (so please ignore my post of questions )!
