Fish Fanatic
I just recently bought some new fish, and I was wondering how blue gouramis do breeding wise
I've been getting mixed messages all over, and I'm not sure if they are, or aren't easy to breed.I don't know much but they ain't easy to breed.
I've read that the giant danio is rather good for breeding, nothing like guppies, but still good for egg layersFrom what I know it isn't very easy.
If you want to breed tropical fish then start with livebearers such as Guppies or Platies. They are very easy to breed and there are many knowledgeable people to help you with any questions.
well that's good, hopefully i may have some young danios soon, and that's a nice tip, i'll check the pet store i usually go to to check on mossYeah, danios are pretty easy.
I've seen your other topic - to sexing danios is quite easy. Males are alot thinner than females and have more intense colouration. If yours are only juveniles it will become more apparent as they grow older.
If you plant lots of moss on the substrate or place marbles on the aquarium floor then you will notice eggs between the marbles when they have dropped, which is quite often. The marbles prevent them from eating the eggs because they drop between the crevices.
