First just let me say "Hi". This is the first time I've been on this forum.

I have one large blue gouramis I call B Cubed (short for Big Blue B@st@rd) and I have a large yellow one I call bananna, as well as 2 Rosy Gouramis (? I'm not sure if that is what they are, they are definitely dwarfs). Well, I am having a lot of problems with B Cubed and him being agressive with Bananna, so I thought if I bought 2 more yellow gouramis that would help. But it seems that B Cubed has become more aggressive. Is there a possibility that he will calm down or will I have to remove them. They are currently in a 55 gallon tank and to me, that seems large, but it doesn't seem large enough to keep B Cubed at bay.

Edit ~ I forgot to mention that I've had fish all my life but Gourami's are new to me. I don't know if they've flooded the market in the last couple of years, but I have noticed their growing popularity. I don't remember them 20 years ago. Unless, they were just not in the area I lived in.

Do you know what sex your gouramis are? Males can be very aggressive toward other males. The blue and the yellow ones are the same species, so the color doesn't really matter. Most people recommend keeping only one male of a gourami species, and they will usually be okay with a couple of females. You may want to see if you can trade in your gold gouramis for females.

I honestly think they are all males. I don't think they have females at my pet store to be honest because they all look like the ones I have.

The Twins ~ These guys are usually very peaceful but have gone after Banana before.

I've had B Cubed and Banana for about a year. And the Twins for 8 months. The Lemon Twins are my new addition as of 1 day ago.
