Gourami Male Or Female

I have two gourami my friend said the blue one (snakeskin)i have is a female..but is always fighting with the gold one..please help

Look at the dorsel fin if it is rounded it is female if it is pointed it is male. If the blue one is the the same shape as the golden one the chances are they are the same speices so will breed given that you have male and female and the right conditions
