Got 7 Powder Blue Rams In The Mail Today!

First, thanks Joe Gargas! He was the shipper/seller and he did an excellent job keeping the fish in great shape and alive. I ordered 5 of these guys, he sent 7! And he did such a great job of shipping them, they 2 extra "just in case" fish are now free fish! Great guy!

Alright, onto the presentation

I left work a bit early hoping to get home before the box arrived at my house. Its 97 F. today, so i didnt want to have them sitting. I pull in my drive way and see this:

I get it inside and do a quick inspection, no leaks!

Next step is getting it down into the basement and ready to un pack these little guys...

This is how the bags were rapped, each bag is wrapped in paper towel...

He shipped them in Kordon breather bags, which A) Allows him to use very little water & B)pack them without air in the bag due to the unique properties of the bags...

And finally, 7 happy acclimating rams in a bucket...

I have them in there final tank for the next month or two. They seem to have adjusted well and air foraging on the bottom, sifting sand already. Ill grab some more pics in a few days if they color up better.

This was my first experience getting fish sent to me through the mail, im glad i choose to buy from someone who knows what they are doing!

As far as i can tell, this is on the high end of what to expect when buying shipped fish. Most people use regular bags, too much water, too big of a box, etc...this guy has it down to a science!

Update on the fish, they are already eating NLS small fish pellet and chopped bloodworms. They are about 5/8 to 3/4" long.
