I went to the local FS and picked up a GT, Texas, and a female convict( i think ) added to my male convict, JD, In my 60g with my african cichlid......I think it is a female convict, got some coloration on the belly,,,,,Bought some plants and they came with an unsespecting passenger(snail),,,,should I keep the snail? Anyway I hope the convicts don't cause problems, may have to relocate them.....I also stocked my 10g with 5 neons, what neat little fish will mix with them(the tank is for my 4yr old daughter to take care of....thanks

watch the green terror<aggressive>i had one which killed my baby oscar and beat up my other oscar and severum>
texas i here are also agressive only hear say
lose the snail i spend every night throwing a hand full away little gits
also to have a male/female convict in my exspereince spells disastear mine laid eggs then after went crazy protecting attacking everything in the tank :good:
sorry to be a downer :good:

Yes they are all pretty aggresive, i hope they all counteract each other...What is the problem with snails? do they eat the plants?

Yeah most green terrors are agressive but with any cichlid its down to personality. I had a texas which was rather aggresive to i returned it and got another and have had no problems.

Ohh and about the snails they will decimate your plants and will breed and spread fast. Id get rid of them asap

Thanks for the info on the snail gonna get it now......Hey I have been looking at photos of different cichlids and mine may have been labeled wrong at the store.... need some good photos of GT and texas.....

Heres a photo of my Texas

And if you look in the topic called Acara or Green Terror ID you will see a pic of Kubora666's Stunning Green Terror.

Eventually you're going to have to re-home some of the fish..

In a 60g tank long term you cant keep that many fish in there.

a 8'' green terror, a 8-10'' texas cichlid, 2 5-6'' convicts, and whatever african you have..

You're most likely going to run into serious fighting and probably dead fish..

I can't agree more, especially when those cons pair & spawn.
