went out to the sealife centre with the neice, she loved it

visited my lfs on the way home for a plec as my upstairs tank doesnt have 1,

saw a royal plec for £40 but couldnt afford it

bought 2 male guppies but really nice patterned ones to breed, a cobra and a red blonde 1.

went to MA for a plec, saw a few but they were all over £30, some upto about £60. still too dear for me at the moment. so went in the next isle and got a nice 4 inch bristle nose plec for a fiver!

got home and found a load more newly born fry aswell from the guppies, cant be more than a few hours old as the are TINY!!

You'd have to have a pretty big tank to want a Royal Panaque! They are hardly algae eaters anyway lol, they literally munch through wood and poop out shavings and at 30-40cm long, they do serious damage to wood!

Any plec in the higher price range is likely an L number plec and at £30-£40 are probably a good price lol. You would have to do decent researh on each individual species to see if they even ate algae as an awful lot of them prefer to eat higher proteined and meatier foods. Not to mention that most are nocturnal or diurnal anyway!

Bristlenose will do you good!

I wonder what half those species are at the sealife center. Wonder if that funny tassly looking square one is a species of boxfish of some kind *wonders*

Loving the seahorsies!! :D
