Hi fish forums. I'd like to know if these following cichlid setups would work in my 55 gallon. I dont know which one to choose or which one would be appropriate for my tank.
Setup 1:
Blue Acara x1
Firemouth x1
Convict x1
Blood parrot x2
Tiger barb x6(dithers if possible)
Setup 2:
Green Terror x1
Giant danio x4(dithers if possible as well)
If you could help me in my dilemma it would be appreciated. Thank you very much if you responded. :)

Long term set up 1 might not work. the blue acara is not as aggressive as the other fish and I could see it being singled out. You could try

1 Firemouth
1 convict
1 parrot
6 Tiger barbs

That would work betting I think but the parrot might need more room once full grown.

Set up 2 would be fine if you only want one fish.

Set up 2, would be my preference, but up the number of Giant Danios to 6.

Set up 1, would be too overstocked, you could have the convict, FM and either an Acara or 1 BP, provided you dont get breeding convicts the FM and Acara should be ok, depending on each individuals aggression levels.

I would probs go for set up 2 sounds like a good plan :)
