My water is pretty cloudy after I added the sand, will it just settle? Do I need to turn off my filter or leave it on? Help?

I would think a majority of the sand should settle to the bottom within a couple of hours. If it appears a lot of it is getting sucked up the intake, just turn it off for a little while...


Are you planning some sort of journal or diary of this tank? Tank journals are always a good read.
