Glass Catfish Please Help

One of my glass catfish has a torn fin underneath , its acting normal but its fin doesnt look very good... please help!

Don't panic; torn fins heal very well.

Have you checked your water? Done a water change? How big is your tank and how many glass cats do you have? They are a very shy and retiring fish and will pine away in a brightly light, fast moving tank with no companions.

my tank is approx 10 litres with 2 glass cats, 6 neons, 2 ghost shrimp.

I'd very,very strongly recommend you return the glass cats; they need to be an a shoal of at least six; they can grow to 4"/10cms, so a far too large for your tank.

yeh i will be getting a 55g in a month.

Really you should wait until you have the big tank, before you buy big fish for it; you might well have lost the glass cats in a month

well I have had the tank for 4 weeks and so far none have died. Every fish looks healthy accept the one mentioned before that like you said can heal.

Keep you water absoultely nop notch until you get your new tank, you might just get away with it...if you're lucky...but your 10l is way, way, way over-stocked...

good luck Lil'fish - sadly past performance is not Guarantee of future success; it's truley sad when people have come on there and told the forum that they came down to multiple dead fish when they looked great yesterday. I hope you make it all the way to the bigger tank.
