Congrats! Fry are always fun...
oh they are why im here does anyone know what other fish i may be able to put in my fry tank to help clean up the algi i was thinking along the lines of corys my local pet shop has got panda cory i think they look very nice so if anyone copuld give me a little advice

if you went down the cory road youd need a small group to keep them happy
otto's are good algae eaters
scot :good:

Cories would be fine in your fry tank (I have a few in mine) but they don't do much to eat the algae. I've found that a little algae in your fry tank is a good thing. My fry love to pick at the algae in the tank between feedings...and it's really good for them.

Like NoSoup said, algae is not a bad thing at all in a fry tank. Platies and most typical livebearers will pick at it even as adults but the fry almost seem to need it. I like to put pygmy sized cories into my fry tanks, corydoras habrosus, because I have found they don't bother the fry and will eat some of the extra food that always ends up being in a fry tank. Once you have things running right in the fry tank remember that lots of small feedings and lots of partial water changes are the key to good fry growth. Everyone remembers the feeding but some people are afraid of the water changes and it shows in the resulting growth rate.
