r u sure that the ghost shrimp will be taken down by lazy bottom feeder loaches?

I doubt that a loach would bother to eat a shrimp, the only way that they can get to snails is by flipping them and sucking the meat out. Loaches don't have very large or powerful mouths, and would be at a loss if trying to eat a snail.

oppositearmor, you could try some shrimp, because even if a fish does end up eating it/them, they aren't too difficult to replace :)

my point exactly, i mean, they only cost like 29 cents a shrimp. those guys r cheap, but cool.

ya, u see, i do have a lfs, but the petsmart is also ultra close, it's only and extra five minutes to get there, so why not go the extra five minutes to get the same stuff cheaper.

hey you asked what fish are compatible with shrimp...not if it would be cheap for you to replace them if they got eaten....and believe me, a fish doesn't need a strong/big mouth at all, all they need to do is catch it off guard and it's all over...i don't understand how loaches don't have strong mouths if they can suck snails right out of shells and even crack/destroy shells but i donno :dunno: ....always worth a try IMO...never said not to try, just that they will end up eaten eventually ahha

I wish I could get them that cheap, my LFS sells them for $1.50 each :grr: They have awesome fish though, so I can't be mad :)
OMG!!! $1.50 each??? I get them 5 for $1.00 and even then they usually put 8 or 9 of them in the bag.

Ghost shrimp should be very cheap as most LFS consider them along the same line as feeder fish.
