Getting Plecs To Breed?

Got a pair in a 180 litre tank.

Any prospect of breeding?

this is some info a breeder sent to me for zebra plecs he said it would work for other L numbers aswell

1 big water change every 2 or 3 days 50%

2 I then turn on my power head 2000lt I have 2 in my tank(when it rains in the wild the water flow is faster in the river the current gets higher, and it gets colder,)
So In order to breed the zebra pleco, it's necessary to make them believe that there's been a rainy season.

3 oxygen is very important I use Piston Air Pumps they are good for high oxygen levels (my oxygen level is 100%) I test the oxygen levels in the water once a month.
I get my Piston pumps from here first4fish plus they always give me free big air stones about 5 of them and a manifold.

I always remove the eggs or fry to stop them from being eaten ASAP into a breeding trap I use a turkey baster to do that.
And I have 2 black rubbish bins with water in all the time, I use the pump to oxygenate them.
The pump I use is Hailea ACO-009E - 140 litre/minute that runs 5 of my tanks
And oxygenate the rubbish bins and don't forget to do small water changes every day.


The caves
I have work out the size of the caves for the zebar pleco.
I think they are a perfect size for breeding in.
To make them in to breeding caves, and not just decorations.
The opening of the cave should be placed opposite to the water flow I put mine side ways
Because the back of the cave is where the eggs are.

I wouldn't remove the eggs of a bristlenose if i were you. The male bn protects them in his cave.

The male will look after the eggs and then the tiny fry until they are big enough to venture out into the big bad world.

My advise is to just keep up the water changes and keep the water conditions right, provide them with a cave or to and then leave them to it.

Mine took about a year for them to breed and now Ive had to split them up cause im overun with fry.
