Some good ideas. Thanks for the input so far.
superglue seems something to try, so you reckon the gel one will be better? Guess it wouldn't run on the vertical background like the normal superglue.

Does silicone really take 72 hrs before you can fill? I thought it was 24hrs. Does it depends on which brand?

Any good Silicon should only take 24 hours to fully dry...

Phew. don't want to have to wait too much longer before I fill.
