Geophagus & Other Pics - Follow On Thread To Out Of Ideas

They are not huge, the biggest ones are about 1 1/2-2" max would they be big enough? I have about 6 that size the rest smaller.

About the same size as the fronts then, so yes, they should be fine, do you wanna swap then? Although I cant guarantee the health of these fronts, Im guessing my water, but that doesnt mean to say it definately is, they could just be a bad batch, poorly bred etc.

No problem I will happily swap see if the fronts do survive can only give them a chance, how many Ellioti do you want?

Better still how many Ellioti can you take lol I have about 50

Will take the 6 largest, see if I can get a pair from them, sound fair to you? When do you want to come do the swap? For the fronts sake, earlier the better

More than fair to me, you can have more if you want. I will ask hubby when he is back, see if we can come over tomorrow, I dont think he is buzy tomorrow. Mum gave me the money for the gravel for xmas lol

Id be worried the smaller ones would end up as food, so just the 6 largest will be good hon. Im in tomorrow, well im in any day really  Aww bless your mum :) Let me know via PM when you want to come, will bag them up when I know your on your way :good:

just a question about your geo's do you find one is aggressive towards the other because i think it was "mark and fishes" found that when he had two one was aggressive (by the way mark if thats an incorrect quote just say) so i only purchased one. blimey you have four!!! bet that cost a bomb!! do you still have your other geophagus the three spot ones? if so why get more?

There is clearly a more dominant one than the other three, which is normal, they will establish a pecking order. The satanoperca daemons I sold to another member when I was changing stocking plans, which unfortunately have not gone to plan, thus I have now got the suri's. All four cost me £32, which wasnt too bad.

Mark did have two and yes one was more dominant and I believe he rehomed both of them, seperately.

Wow that is steep, made me laugh, they were labelled XXL Geophagus, at 4"!!!! I didnt like to point out they were still tiny

seems like incompetence paid off. have you got your ellioti yet? if so pics please to compare to mine. would be nice to see a tank shot :D

loving the tank

Pity about the frontosa as they are lovely looking fish, I have never kept them but would like to one day

I;m also a big fan of Geophagus and I;ll subscribe to this thread and see if you add photos in the futire lol

Good luck

Will get more pics of geophagus as they grow and Liam, will try to get some pics of the Ellioti later on, still quite small, under 2" but colouring up nicely already, very pleased with them :)
